Tech Education

We live in a world where technology can feel both inescapable and overwhelming, marked by AI scandals, misinformation, and the fear of job loss. We rely on it to work, learn and connect, yet it often seems like a force working against us.

But technology was meant to improve our lives, and through education, awareness and accessibility, we believe technology can be used to benefit our needs.

We provide accessible tech education to help you move from being controlled by technology to taking control of it. Our mission is to ensure these powerful tools serve humanity, and build a better digital future for everyone.

Technology and digital literacy

What is Digital Literacy?

This is an essential life skill that allows us to assess, research, learn and adapt to new technologies in ways that are meaningful to us (Life Literacy Canada). It’s about the confidence, skills and knowledge to keep up with changes, find, use, evaluate, create and communicate using these technologies (American Library Association)

How We Work

Pathways to Digital Literacy

Discovery

There are millions of tools, websites and apps promising to solve your problems and change your life. This is not true. The truth is there is no perfect tool and we lose a lot of time testing tens or hundreds to discover this.

Because of this it is very overwhelming to discover new technologies without being overwhelmed by the amount of choices available. Moreover, sponsored choices can appear at the top of your screen but may not be the best fit. For this we do the research and curate tools that are accessible, and useful. In our discovery and community tech fairs, you can learn about cool and new tech tools that you would not see. You can discover how how to use them, best use cases

Education

Learn how to use technology to work for you and your needs.

We understand how much work and time it takes to learn new technologies especially as they evolve rapidly

By providing free education, we ensure you know how to use the tools you need

Barriers To Technology

Barriers to technology can include financial limitations, learning curves, time constraints, opportunities, infrastructure, materials, access to experts, teacher or even access to the tools themselves

We work to bridge those gaps sharing free alternatives, discounted resources for not for profits and students and other programs

Sustainability in Tech Education

As Technology evolves and innovates, we work to bring you relevant topics, materials and tools to keep up with the ever evolving landscape
